WTF happened!
ok driving home in traffic all the sudden digital speedometer and lights go dead and my gas pedal doesnt work but engine remains running. I coast to a stop shut off my car and restart engine and away I go. no troubles even called onstar but it shows everthing is ok
 so has this happened to anybody , should I be worried or take it to the dealership? whatcha think?

Yes take it to the dealer just to be safe. That is what warranty is for and it will be documented.

Could onstar have made a mistake ?
Found this online about a car chase: A quick call later and OnStar was informing the pursuing vehicles that the car would be stopping soon. They pressed a button, the gas pedal was disconnected, and the car coasted to a stop. After a short foot race, the guy was apprehended and the car returned.

Check battery and ground connections engine frame etc.
