When did parking sensors become standard? I thought they were automatic? Is this another standard vs automatic thread? I choose standard!

Backup sensors and cameras are not standard. I have a 2012 1SS/RS that does not have them. I believe you must order the Rear Vision Package to get that equipment.

If you are willing to add it yourself I believe a member here named "Ofer" or "2SSRS" can hook you up with a kit to do that.

So you do not have the little round sensors in your rear bumper? This is what I'm asking.. if indeed ALL camaros have those from 2011 or not. Not necessarily the camera, as I know those didn't come til 2012, but speaking of the sensors themselves.

Standard on 2LT and 2SS optional on 1LT, 1SS beginning the end of august ~ early September 2009. (they started the week after my car got built

Back up sensors came in between Sept-Oct 09. I ordered car June 19, 09, sometime in Sept I asked owner of dealership if mine would have them. They didn't know or didn't think that it would but did. I took delivery Oct 14, 09. GM Performance Badge, No chicklets, back up sensors. Vin 52,XXX

I realize when they came in, but as noted above not all Camaros got them, they were optional on 1LT and 1SS... my question remains did they ever become standard on every camaro, or do some low option cheapie 1LT/1SS still have smooth rear bumpers in 2011-up?

Sorry man, was answering OP. I don't believe they came standard on all models from what i've seen but I've been wrong before. Never heard of the rear vision package unless that's when back up cams came into the "picture".

I have a 2LT it had something to do with when the oder got picked up in Aug '09

They were an option on my 2012 1SS. I do not have the sensors on my rear fascia.
