Whine from AC while accelerating?

I have had the TSB done for the Rice Crispy sound but now have another noise. When I accelerate with the AC on I hear a whine that increases in sound when the RPM's rise. If I turn the AC off while accelerating the sound goes away immediately. I did a search and found 1 complaint like this and their AC compressor was replaced, but mine sounds like its coming from the AC fan switch behind the dash. Any input before I head off to the dealer? Thanks

I noticed that today as well while I was listening for other noises (see transmission thread). At first I thought that noise was coming from the area of the shifter but then decided it was from the AC but it does get louder at higher RPMS. Its annoying.

Not sure if this is your question but I have not modified my stereo system in any way. If I turn the stereo off the noise is still there. The sound comes and goes but the constant is that it is related to the AC system because if I turn it off the whine stops immediately.

Same problem, at first I thought my transmission or diff were f'd up. But it is definitely the AC compressor.

The electric fans increase rpm with throttle position. This drove me crazy for a couple of days until I discovered this. I believe this is normal.
