Don't see the lines in the door matching the picture of the die, but that might be on the other dies.

This side view is interesting for sure.

The shoulder line on the render has too much taper as it moves away from the door. The die is more in line with the 5th gen as that the shoulder line is a flatter curve. My feelings wouldn't be hurt at all if the 6th gen was about the size of the render. It should easily be a few hundred pounds lighter at those dimensions.

Yeah, I dunno....I think if you tilt the die down for a flatter roofline, then the shoulder taper and roof-line would match the render....and the more metal area under the rear passenger window would make sense....

The rear seat sure looks like it takes a hit in the sideview of the rendor...lol...

As a 7 time Camaro owner, this is disappointing. I'm sure the interior will be upgraded and different. You would think there will be some engine changes. But this is looking more like a major refresh than a new generation. We've seen the Camaro recreate itself 5 times now. Is this the Jim Belushi version of John Belushi?

Hmm, I was following the line of the lower door jamb. The curve of the shoulder line is more parallel to that on the die than on the render. That would suggest that the trunk lid would have to be lower as well. Maybe the new Camaro won't be as big in the butt as the Gen 5.

...Yeah...looks like the lower door jamb and the roofline are not parallel on the die, but look more parallel on the rendor....dunno....

For sure a shorter wheelbase, overall smaller, lighter....

I hear ya....I was/am hoping for something more dramatic in styling change for it to be called a 6thGen....Everything so far points to an evolved/re-freshed 5thGen look....It will be different in engine offerings for sure than the 5thGen....Hopefully much lighter weight, better handling and braking, etc....We'll see.....(soon enough).....

Based on the camo cars seen, I feel the line on the door needs to be a little lower. The gap between the door handle and the line seems to be the same as the old models.

I like what I am seeing. As to it not being a "6th" gen, remember it is completely new from top to bottom (chassis, body, engines, interior). It may resemble the 5th gen, but it is most certainly a completely new car.

For what it is worth, the 63-82 Corvettes were all based on the same frame and mostly suspension. It is widely accepted that the C2 and C3 Corvettes were different generations simply due to different bodies.

That's what has me quite interested in what GM will unveil. I can't wait for this car, it will for sure be a step in the right direction and will likely smack the crap out of the new Mustang.
