Question for those with cloth seats - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I rented a 1LT Camaro with cloth seats last weekend and really enjoyed the 24-hour test drive. After I had sat in it for a while I began to notice something hard in the middle bottom of the seat cushion digging into the bottom of my thigh, mainly the right one. It appears to be the retainer used to attach the seat cover to the seat cushion. I could place my hand in this area after the foam settled and could easily feel the bar under the cover. The car had about 16400 miles on it and I’m thinking the seat foam has lost some of its firmness, since I didn’t notice it in the new ones I’ve sat in at the dealer. This really frustrates me, as I was hoping the seats would be more comfortable.

Has anyone else noticed what I’m talking about with the cloth seats? It may not be as noticeable with the leather seats due to the firmness of the leather.

i have 10,000 on mine dont have any problem. love the cloth seats.

My cloth seats are awesome with 3,000 miles on them.
Maybe someone with more miles will chime in, this is the first I've heard of this.

+18,000 miles and no problems as you mentioned with the cloth seats.

I have just over 8K and the seats are still as firm as the day I picked it up.

9400 miles on mine,their still like new, If its a rental car no telling who or what sat in it, I'm sure rentals get plenty of abuse that most Camaro owners don't inflict on there cars!!!!!

Rentals are notoriously beaten.

I love these seats - and there's nothing digging into anything. The car you drove was a rental car which has probably seen it's share of unique posteriors. Maybe one wasn't a good fit
