How do you apply tire dressing?

I used many things including one of those sponge applicators but could not control it or spread the dressing evenly often smudging the rims. I read on another forum about using a small paint brush, went and bought the least expensive brush walmart had and to my surprise it worked ten times better. will never go back to the sponge!!

For anybody who uses the foam, cut your applicator in half and it works on low profile tires better without smudging your rims or hitting the fender.

I usually pour dressing on top of my salad and mix it all up.

On tires I apply tire shine to a sponge and wipe on the tire.

I use optibond tire gel, best matte tire dressing I have ever used, that with a small paint brush and I get perfect coverage and no smudges on the rims. alot easier!

I like Carpro PERL for several reasons:

1) One coat looks like matte/slighty shiny, two coats looks shiny, three looks like jet black shiny. I like three coats. My tires shine at night, that's how shiny they are. That's not the look everyone wants, but that's the great thing, you can choose your own look based on how many coats you want.

2) Even if you apply three coats, no nasty greasy feeling.

3) Durability is great Lasts ~ 2 months in my experience.

4) A bottle is meant to be diluted. So one liter bottle should last you a year easily if you are just doing 2 to 3 cars

5) It doesn't wash off in rain...

6) Price is cheap! Only like 25 dollars for the liter!

Fill a 2 gallon bucket with your favorite shine, throw it at tires, drive really fast... all done!
