Need help finding key resistor wires for bypass

A buddy of mine has a 3rd gen 92 Rally Sport. lately it been going into "security" when he tries to start it. I had same issue with my 4th gen and ended up soldering a resistor that matched my keys resistor. Problem is we cant find the wires coming from the console that enables it to start. It was easy to find on my 96, but we arent having any luck. I know some of you guys have had this. Or if you know a better way. We cleaned the contacts in the switch and worked for about a month. Just like mine did, it is worse if its rained or high humidity. Thanks for any help you can give us.
