You guys didnt think they were gonna build sold order cars back to back did you? I certainly hope not, this is the way it is and as far as I know always has been. Just be patient. Challenger guys went through the same thing btw.

Yeah.. that is a decent price however. Even if it is a 1SS, Auto, And RS package.. nice msrp price.

I'd rather have it the way I want it. I'll keep track of it though just out of curiosity and laugh my ass off if it goes for over sticker alot.

Actually the pre-ordering guide number was for what ever the dealerships wanted to use them for - through quarter #3 2009...meaning if they wanted lot cars, they could use it as such...They could order all lot cars, sold orders, or a mix of both.....it was up to the dealer.

Don't get too upset, I'm sure we'll see many many more listed soon from those EBay'ing dealer types.

I didn't realize that dealers could order stock cars yet ...

It seems like there was a thread that talked about the fact that the guide # orders had to be sold orders..... guess that turned out to be untrue.

Dealers could not "pre-order" cars. The pre-orders were for sold units only. However if the dealer chose, it could have used it's allocation for TRE cars rather than SRE's.

Dealers could also "Sold-order" cars under the names of friends and/or family members with full intentions of selling those cars to the highest offer once the car is delivered to the dealership.

I am sure MANY of the 14,000 pre-orders are actually cars spec'ed out by the dealer, NOT by a customer.

The Camaro looks like it's going to beat you unconscious, put you in a silly hat, invite a couple of other Camaros over to take photos of you, then e-mail them to all your friends and co-workers. Call me crazy, but I like that in a car."

Perhaps, but when the weekly allocation opens, there is no distinction between a sold or stock order. Remember approximately 30% of dealers did not take advance pre-orders. Well here you go.
