1LE "ENGINE POWER REDUCING"

I purchased my 14 Black 1Le 1ss about 3weeks ago with 27 miles on it and been loving it ever since. Until today. I'm driving about 55-60mph, because of the break-in rule, when my dash lights up with "ENGINE POWER REDUCING". sO, I quickly start to slow down and find a spot to pull over. As I pull over every light in the dash lights up. I kill the engine and let it sit for a minute before trying to start it again. When I turned the key the info dash said PRESS THE CLUTCH TO START, and I was. I hit the onstar button they did a reading and said there was two readings, engine and tranny, get it to your local dealer ASAP. What the HELLLLLLL???

Has anyone had this problem?

REP "reduced engine power" can happen after a tune with HPT if its been tuned with that it will clear....if its not been tuned and you just bought it then take it to the dealer for sure

Thanks man, but the car has never been tune or driven hard, yet. It has 637 miles on it now. I will be taking it to my local dealer today.

There's so many things it could be, But engine power reduced could be an internal short in the throttle body. Since they are electronic(along with almost everything else...steering too) and not drive by wire, it could have failed. No big deal, that's what warranties are for. Unfortunately new cars break and this is not common. You have free roadside towing for 5yrs or 100K miles from the original purchase date. 1(800) CHEV-USA

No good. At least you're finding this out right away. I'm just over 600 miles on the ticker myself. I hate hearing stuff like this, however. Really shouldn't happen in a brand new performance car but unfortunately it does.

Also, any mods to it?
The same thing happened to mine because after the catch can install I forgot a connector.

like davidcroft says... probably a wiring issue with the throttle body. when there is a problem, it goes into that reduced power mode for safety because it can't read throttle position
