Unhappy Camaro problems

I was out driving for about 1 hour and as i was on the way home 5min from my house i started smelling like something was burning (i don't know if any of you play xbox and it sounds wired but if you smell the front port on the controller it smells just like that or a clutch burning but i have a automatic). i checked all of the gages (thanks to my RS package) they looked fine i rolled the window down the smell was not coming from the outside, i looked behind me no cars (or in front of me) and no smoke coming from me (i think it was dark). the smell then went away about 2min from my house so i started to relax a little then i pulled into my garage put it in park and let off the brake and i herd a loud sloshing sound coming from the middle of the car that sloshed for a few seconds so i am pretty Sher it was not just gas and i have never herd that before. i ask my dad to look at it he started it opened the hood and trunk reved it a bit (we did not drive it afraid that it would do more damage if Thar is anything wrong) and we did not smell anything and did not hear anything. i was planing to go to the dealer for maintenance so i will be asking them about it and to check it. but the point of this is i want to know you opinion and if its OK to drive to the dealer thats about 20min away.
Thank You for any help :(

I hear the sloshing all the time and I've come to the conclusion that it is the gas in the tank, at least in my case. Maybe you just heard it now because you were paying special attention to try to hear something? I'd say you should be okay to drive to the dealer if you have no warning lights on and there isn't a smell anymore when you drive, but I'm by no means an expert.

I had the same burnin smell coming but it went away. And this was after putting 20000km on it
Never found out what it was but according to the car, everythin was ok.

Check to see if there is a plastic bag stuck to your exhaust. That has happened to a few folks on here.

I have had this happen a couple of times on my cars.

im sure nothing bad happened. something got stock on the exhaust pipes and burnt off. During my first drive in my SS, smoke was literally bellowing from under the car. I thought it was on fire. Turned out, the part # stickers on the exhaust pipes were burning off. Dealt with the burning smell for maybe 100 miles than all good.

I have noticed the sloshing sound as well. I noticed it when the fuel tank was 1/2 full. Drove to the Shell Station, filled the tank and the sloshing disappeared. As far as the burning smell, I have notice it once. I drove about 70 miles on the interstate, parked the car in the garage and lifted the hood. I could smell something burning, assumed it was the heat shield. Have only noticed the smell once. Everything seems to be fine on the car, called the dealership and asked about the smell. Was told it was probably the vehicle breaking in. If it continues, I would take it back to the dealership.

See my earlier post on exhaust fumes. Smells a little like someone is smoking a cig next to your cabin aiur intake. Dealer tells me it is not a problem. Had not considered the hood cloth, but may test that theory. I am told that it will go away after time. It's a real shame to make an investment in a new car have have it smell like I smoked in it. :(

I also have an automatic and the burnt smell and I am at 1265 miles. I just got it home and do not smell it now. I could smell it when car was running especially when coming to a stop at a light. It has always had kind of a burn oil type smell in garage since I bought it just figured it was new parts heating up oil coating but at this many miles I am begining to wonder.
