Lower front fascia blackout: vinyl vs. Plasti-dip
I'm thinking of doing the lower fascia blackout. I have some Plasti-dip left over and was wondering how well it holds up on the lower fascia. Please let me know your experience with it in this location. I think I will be fine making the lines. Just worried if it will start looking bad too soon after doing it.
I might do vinyl instead. I would probably try doing it myself since I watched the stripe installer (my neighbor) pretty closely. Cheapest vinyl I saw on eBay was like $40. Seems crazy after only paying $80 for two huge stripes going down the length of the car. The lower fascia is probably a few bucks worth of vinyl. But maybe it's worth the added expense because of longevity...your thoughts? Even if I need a new can of Plasti-dip its only $6! Dilemmas dilemmas. |

I'm thinking about doing the same thing. Good luck either way you go.

I will be having the Vinyl installed on my car tomorrow. I purchased it from promotorstripes.com and am having a local shop install. I too thought that piece of Vinyl was expensive considering I got a full stripe kit from them for $55. But if you email them and are buying more than just the one piece of Vinyl they will give you a bundle price that will save you some cash.

Never have liked the way plasti dip looks in person. Its a great option if wanting to take off, but I choose vinyl. Big Worm Graphix does all mine

Before I put on my splitter, mine was Plastidipped for 6 months or so with zero issues.
