We only sell them in pairs. So it is for both.
http://www.emblempros.com/inc/sdetail/7958 These are designed to use in a 12 volt system, that's how we ran our tests here. Basically you wire from the 12 volt circuit to the converter with the plugs we sell. Then from the converter to the sills built in wiring we have already installed. The Converter is required, and can be tucked away under a seat or in a panel. The converter has an area where batteries can be installed if you want, but we know you guys will want to wire them up. So just cut off the battery section of the converter. it is about 2" wide x 1" tall, and about .5" thick. Thanks. Roger |

This is a steal! I've seen sets of sills for this price that don't light up or anything.
