Drag Radials for my SC V6??
Took my car to the drag strip tonight and I simply couldn't get it to hook up.
Finally had to turn trac control on and the best time I could get was 13.85. I'm loosing so much at the take off though. Honestly believe I could get into the high 12s with the right tires on it. I have been looking for two wheels and two tires for a few hours now with no luck. I'm assuming I need to go with 245/55x18. I currently have the Chevy aftermarket wheels and tires on it right now. I believe they are 245/45-21 |

Isn't $850 a bit expensive. You think I could buy two brand new for around $1k shipped. Or am I wrong? Thanks for the vast response V6owner.

The tires on that set up are what's expensive. You can get just the wheels for $400-$500
I need a set for myself lol

What tires did you use on your run to get 13.123?

You also need to lose those 21s, 20s are a performance sap as it is( not all).

Yeah, the 21s will hurt the performance for sure...even the stock 20s are bad enough, but I sure do love the look so I won't go to anything smaller.
But for maximizing performance at the track, I'd say some 18s with DRs on the back is the way to go. That alone should help, but the heavy fronts will still hurt some. Billionaire...what was your best 60ft time?
