Muffler or Exhaust?

Does the muffler or exhaust make the sound of the car louder? I want my v6 camaro sound as loud as possible but not sure if I should get a muffler or exhaust?

Most my customers tend to change out the axle back system (which is the muffler, plus some piping to make it an easier install), or a catback system which would be even more exhaust piping. I would listen to examples on youtube to see what you think sounds best, and then go with that!

Here's one of the best ones to look at:

The MRT system new is about 470...while you could find it cheaper in the member classified for cheaper...

Muffler delete is good but putting the glasspacks or cherry bomb extreme mufflers on will get the same sound with the x-pipe and cost a fraction of the MRT's price.

Take a look at Solo cat back system with j-pipes. You will get the tone you are looking for with none of the drone. It gets rid of those trash cans an replaces with an x-pipe an j-pipes for a no nonsense sound.

Here's one of the best ones to look at:

In the video they claim some outlandish power gains from an axle back.

No exhaust gives that much power.

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.
