the hydraulics are damped to control the release of the pedal and takes getting used to. the restrictor can be removed.

On a side note, the nicest shifting (clutch engagement also) car I have driven in a while was a GT350. Yes I know they are all tremecs . . . |

lol, I've stalled it once in the 300-ish miles that I've driven it so far. For me I am trying my best not to make it sound like I'm leaving after a bank job, but it's too difficult to give it just enough gas to get going. I may just say to hell with it and take off like Mario Andretti at every stoplight.

Both the Zl1 and SS have a twin disk and if this is your first twin disk then I bet this is what’s causing your issues. When I first got my car I thought it was weird that it took me a whole entire week to finally be able to take off from a stop light/sign perfectly smooth until I learned twin disks can be a little tricky to operate. I did not stall the car, it was just tough to get the initial take off (not launch just normal driving take offs) perfectly smooth for about a week. After about a week I did not even have to think about it. Just keep practicing!

Bottom line: A manual is just more fun. I tried to order one, but the dealer talked me out of it by saying that resale would suck badly. Of course with my mods, resale will suck anyway.

I think the M6 resale will be better. Simple fact is there are not that many manual vehicles being made today, specifically manual sports cars. Supply and demand will eventully make the M6 more desirable/higher value. No question though about the M6 ZL1 taking some time to become acclimated to.

I assume that the M6 unit would be the same in the SS as in the ZL1 as GM generally likes to share parts as a means of cost control. I may try to disable traction control as someone else has previously mentioned. Although when I experience it bogging down, it's not from too much gas, but from not enough gas. If you knew me, the last thing you'd think that I'd be associated with is "not enough gas". |

Just tell em “race car shit” lol Also, not directed to my quoted post, but the difficulty in taking off is programmed babysitting and not mechanical. When on factory tune sometimes i could hit the gas pedal 3x straight to feather it and it wouldn’t even register. It does not allow finesse because it doesn’t want you to stall…very overprotective. Really kinda slowly sucking the fun out of the last of the manuals |

I bought a M6 ZLE simply because I liked the color. I've already paid it off, and as soon as the title gets here (as soon as next week), its going up for sale so I can buy a 19+ A10 ZLE instead. I've had it for like a month lol.

I would think the opposite. I would think the manuals will become more valuable but to each is own. For me while I’m healthy and both of my legs and arms work well I’ll always have a manual. I wouldn’t want to drive one to work so it always has its place. If your 1/4 mile racing and doing light to light runs trying to race I think this isn’t the right car for that purpose anyway. Just my 2 cents.
