Thank you! The controls are all functional, yes it was plug and play. But like I said mine differs from the discussion at hand because I took the 2SS controls out of my stock wheel and put them into the LT steering wheel. I was just noting that the black plastic piece covering the one side of the controls on the 1SS wheel will come out and you can put in the radio controls there.

I figure if the 1LT is wired for steering wheel controls, then the 1SS is as well. That means all we would need is the radio control switch.

We don't know that for sure since SS Mike went 2SS to LT.

Someone should pop off the cover on their steering wheel where the controls go and see if a harness is there. My car is covered up right now or i would.

I see, since the convenience and connectivity package is available on the 1LT and the 2LT i can see why it's plug and play. The LS and the 1SS will probably be a different story. Damn.................

Has anyone seen a thread on how to remove the steering wheel or how to get access to the steering wheel controls?

I have my stock steering wheel at home, I can check it out when I leave work and I'll post on here. I'll get some pics if possible as well.

Eric mentioned that possibly the radio would need updating. I guess whoever does it first will find out

I still need to get the PDIM/USB, but that's on hold for a few months.

For steering wheel controls, i have a feeling you will not need to get the radio programmed.

I would do it but I don't even have the car yet. My TPW is 11/30 Order# NQSMTP........ I had to settle for the 1SS and i was just looking into future mods. I don't expect anyone to hack up their steering wheel on my acount. If you guys can wait i will try it on once i get it. Probably 3rd week of December. To be honest i will still install the controls even if it doesn't work. haha, it just looks bland without it IMO.
