BBK headers makes me a little nervous.
Well on the youtube video showing the v6 camaro on the dyno, and showing a dyno graph as show here:
They claim a 33hp gain and 30ft pound of torque over stock, why I am nervous is on the website they don't even get the engine right, when it tells you to search by vehicle it says 3.8L engine. Then the second thing is it tells you to go to their website for more information, and the headers are not even there. Weird, huh? |

That's a third gear pull,I think judging by speed @ redline, with hood up. Third gear isn't anywhere near 1 to 1, so unless they calibrated that dyno for the third gear ratio, the numbers will be inflated.
From what I just saw, those headers don't look nearly as good as the ARH ones that I have. Yes, I'm biased, but the product is really that good!

I wouldn't sweat it though... not really a big deal... not everyone is web savoy... it's the results that matter... The 33 hp gain is not at peak... it's in the mid-range, around 5400 RPM... which is a very usable RPM range for a gain like that.

I got a marked difference from third to fourth gear pulls. Around 7rwhp difference.

Call me dumb, but I can't seem to find where to look at the ARH headers that you have mrray13. Want to point me in the right direction?

BBK hosted a bunch of us for a tour of their facilities and provided free dyno runs last weekend. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68860 We hung out with the dyno tech and the CEO (who owns a 5th Gen SS) and I can say I was very impressed.
The headers aren't on the website because they won't be available until April 1. Also, for the V6, its a kit that includes the shorties and high flow cats. They said that the shorties by themselves didn't show much gain. They are also in the process of updating their website, once done be on the look out for a 20% coupon code for Camaro5 members that will be valid for two weeks.

Oh, well if thats the case, thats not bad at all, Also they did put high-flow cats in the video, and whoever made their last website should be fired, I mean 3.8L? Cmon. But anyway if you get a chance ask him how much it's going to be.

Without a CAI, that, I would think, is of less importance. If the factory airbox is in place, the hood up isn't really going to increase airflow as the filter is still boxed up. It would, I would think, keep the engine cooler, and possibly inflate the numbers a bit.
