MPG calculator, Trip Odometer etc.

Has anyone heard if the Camaro is going to have the little gadget that will display how efficient the car is running? I think is called the MPG calculator. I don't this would add to the weight of the car and I have gotten so used to it that I am going to miss it a lot in the Camaro.

most cars with info centers have this, so i couldn't imagine why not. even if it don't, it only takes a few seconds to do look at how much gas went in & divide the trip counter by that.

It is incorporated in the driver information center, it does not add weight to the car, just about all GM cars have it, even the base model Cobalt has it My HHR has it, My Sky has it, so I would think the Camaro will...

any GM vehicle with DIC should have it. ESPECIALLY since all AFM vehicles have it to make you feel good about saving that gas.

hmm. I guess that's why I haven't seen any information on this. If it's offered on all of GM vehicles than I guess it goes without saying.

Thanks

another question is will it have an overall MPG counter and a long term counter?

my friends new Silverado has them integrated. so if he resets it it will give him the current MPG, but if he drives for a while, it is his overall MPG and the only way to find out his current MPG is to reset it. where as my fiance's Durango has them seperate,

My HHR only has the overall average mpg, but my Sky will do both the average and instantanious.. My son's Silverado has the AFM engine and it has both...

The Camaro will have the same multitude of MPG functions that is in every GM DIC as we speak. Instant MPG, average MPG, miles till empty, gallons in tank.

well, thats the thing tho, the Instant MPG. cus in my friends silverado and a co-workers Cobalt, the only way to get the Instant MPG is to reset the MPG counter. then after that, it is constantly factored into the average.

SWEET!!! this is what I am hoping for. Did you know that the challenger even has a quarter mile and a zero to sixty timer. I was hoping that the camaro atleast had the information your message contains as this info is practicle and used often.

Woohoo thats cool, I play around with the MPG calculator whenever I drive my mothers chrysler. The miles until empty feature will be cool especially with the 19 gal. tank.

Now that I think about it, thats over 500 miles per tank on the highway if you can get more than 26mpg. Though I will probably empty the tank as fast as I can fill it in the begining.
