I was in the same position, I went with the LT2 with the RS package and I'm so glad I did. I have the cool of the Camaro look, and the green-cool of the V6 for gas mileage and I'm way less likely to be flaunting power for all to challenge (less tickets).

Any other thoughts? Got a good idea what I want, and what I can afford. They will meet somewhere in the middle, as intended. ^_^

make sure you shop around I just got a leftover 2010 2SS MSRP 38550 for 33748 there are some good deals to be had if you can find a leftover 2010! Dont let them lowball you on your trade newer small high mpg cars are in high demand and are bringing top dollar.

Im kinda in the same boat you are. A LT/LS is definitely in the budget but a SS is what I want. Luckily here in Texas there seems to be a lot of used Camaros. I saw a 2010 1SS on the internet around here going for 28,000. And I know in the next few months with the 2012's coming out those prices will get even better. So im playing the waiting game and just saving until I see a deal I just cant refuse.

Congratulations Stealthpanda. I hope we'll be able to welcome you to Camaro family soon. I hope you're able to get what you want at the price you can afford! King of 2morrow, I hope we will be able to count among the ranks of Camaro Owners soon as well. Let us know when you find that special deal!

There is no shame in driving a V6 - we rented one for a couple of days before we bought our car to see if we really wanted a Camaro, and were impressed by the car's power and handling. The V6 actually feels a little more agile than the V8 on those twisty canyon roads. And it can still 'get up and go'. Get what you want and don't let anyone make you feel badly about it! Besides, you'll be laughing all the way to the gas pump. I have a 2SS and I absolutely adore it, but it's a *thirsty bugger*!!!
