Got to make a pass against a ZL1 yesterday...
Went to the strip yesterday and it was pretty dead as it was almost 90F and the DA was around 3300+
Anyway, got to make a pass against a ZL1 so I figured I would share with you guys... Really nice older gentlemen and the car was an auto and stock with stock tires... Not sure if he is a member here?  |

Yeah, like I mentioned the DA was 3300+ so conditions were horrible... Very little track prep also, which hurts RWD cars much more than my S... I usually run 11.7x at 117-118 with a DA in the 500-750 range... So my ET and traps were off .3-.4 and 3-4mph... I was surprised that he didn't trap higher especially with spinning out of the hole... I believe he got a 12.9 on another pass... Hoping he is a member here and can chime in... He said he will be back in the fall so I'll post some more of his passes if I get them... Very nice looking car either way...

A old guy with enough money for a ZL1 has probably been down the drag strip or driven a car a couple of times  Lets just face it some ZL1s are just dogs, if you care about straight line speed you better MOD... if not who knows what will walk you down the strip or at a stoplight:( |

maybe gm will put more power in the zl1 so it can be king of the muscle cars.there are too many videos of the zl1 not doing good i say make the zl1 like slp did and this getting smoked stuff will stop

gm did not make this car a straight line car. temp has a lot to do with how well these car run as well. wait till fall the numbers will improve.
