Thumbs up Just installed an LMR intake!!

And let me say this thing is awesome! It looks great, extremely easy to install. The heat shield actually makes a seal against the underside of the hood, and has weather stripping at the top so it won't cut up the blanket under the hood It really has a good sound to it, the engine sounds much meaner and the exhaust note is more agressive. There is a noticeable power increase and the throttle response is perfect now, so quick!! The guys over at LMR are great too, willing to do whatever it takes to make sure this thing was perfect and everything is working correctly Thanks again Steven!!! Can't wait to get that Stalker set up from you guys

-Mike

Now we just need pics and sound clips. So the throttle response is noticeably better, i.e. more off-the-line kick? 'Sounds good I still think their prices are a bit high though... So did you get the plastic tubing or the carbon fiber?

Sorry!!!! I was checking on this thread all day yesterday and no one was replying so I thought I'd come back later!!!! Now to address questions and comments:

Pictures will be up early next week, sorry for the delay, work has been crazy this week so I haven't had a chance to take any in the light. I will get some good ones over the weekend.

Yes throttle response is much better, off the line yes, and when downshifting. I don't know about you guys but I always rev match when I downshift, and with the stock intake I really had to hit the gas to get it to come up quickly or high enough. Now I just have to tap the pedal and it comes up right away to the perfect spot.

It sounds great! I will try to get video of it and post that so you can see it. Maybe I'll do a stock to LMR comparison, just not sure how well you'll be able to tell in video, but we'll see.

Check back Tuesday or so for some pics!!

Oh I forgot to mention this is the black plastic version, not the carbon fiber.

2010SS6SPD the filter itself is a K&N. So yes it is an oiled filter as far as I know.

Can't wait for the pix. Did you get a test spec sheet with it? I'm interested to know if they dyno'd with it? Thanks!

No I didn't because I got mine very early in the production run. I know they just got done with their own SS and they have a dyno sheet for it, I will see if I can get a hold of that and I will post it.

These pictures were taken without the weather stripping. I will post new pics this weekend along with dyno graphs.

We had a car just leave the shop with one installed. Car baselined 353rwhp and left with 366rwhp. Also picked up 10ft lbs of tq. That was installing our CAI only, no tune!
