Where can I find some 1LE 3.91 gears? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have lined up a certified master mechanic to do the gear swap but I can't find the gear set to buy. I've tried two dealerships and several forum vendors and the story is the same - "the gears are on national back order and no shipment date is given.

Any ideas, help, suggestions out there on if any gear sets are availalbe - be you a vendor or a fellow Camaro 5 member?

They should be readily available from your dealer. I got two sets when they first came out, order them, Im betting they will show up within a short while.

Just like you have been told, they are on national back order. We have had them on order for weeks and have no indication of when we will get them.

As far as I know they are have plenty for production. The problem is that the entire Camaro performance world flooded them with orders before there was any inventory available and clogged the system up.

Have y'all tried Maureen at Rodgers Chevrolet??? She usually keeps a pretty good supply in stock.

Well, I just thought of that myself this morning and just got off the phone with Maureen. It was a score!! I have the gear set headed my way today.

Yep....Maureen definitely Rocks....Congratulations!!! I got my 3.91's from her too!!! After that, I promised myself, any GM Parts that I buy will come from her!!!
