Try taking the Traction control off. OR go to a track with a motorcross set up.

If you shift into sport and don't use the paddles, it still shifts but in a more aggressive mode.

It seems to me that the shift points are changed if you put it in sport mode. I drive mine in sport mode all the time time. Just make sure you dont bump the paddles when you turn.

Push it back up to Drive and then back down to Manual.

Speaking of V6 autos, on the way into downtown Dallas on I-35 last night the highway takes a series of very gradual dips and rises. I set the cruise on 75mph, and the rpms settled at 2k, but any time there was even a gradual slope, the engine downshifted pretty aggressively to match the speed. This was in D, not even M, and it's not something I'm used to in an auto...kinda wished it kept gear a little more if I'm just cruising cause that can't be good for mileage.

the only downside to sport mode is that it will hurt your fuel economy if you always leave it on

Well if I hold the upshift paddle down for 2-3 seconds it goes back into sport auto mode.

There is a sport mode. Just throw the shifter into "M" mode, and don't touch the shifters. This will cause the car to shift more aggressively- by itself. It won't go into manual mode until you make your first paddleshift

To get out of shift mode, just put the car back in drive. As far as bumping the paddles inadvertently, you really don't have to worry much about that. They're so far back around the wheel, I just don't see it happening accidentally.

When you drive on S you are not going THERE, you want to be there, and when doing it on D you are going to get THERE where ever it is . It's just another way to see the same thing in my opinion [JUST WITH MORE FUN]
