Well it definately sounds a lot better, it does have some kackle if I downshift and let off the gas. But when I get into it, oh that's more like it
It isn't too loud, especially inside the cabin and when I took on the Interstate, (Windows up)I didn't notice any noise untill I was about 80 MPH around 2000 RPM in sixth, so I very happy with it. It took an hour and 15 minutes and only cost me $63. So for the interim, well worth it for me. Figure I'm not out much money when I eventually get headers and if I have to redo the exhaust. |

Great to hear people are final listening. This mod is by far the best and cheapest out there. Go mufflerless

Hello!
|
Just had mine done today...sounds really good guys!! Really nice!!
Friend has a 2002 with SLP exhaust and to me, it sounds very close...pops some when off the gas but nothing it didn't do before, just a bit louder now. $125 is all I paid and that is with stainless pipes! Excellent mod...more than happy with it! |

I just had mine done yesterday for $150. That included stainless, mandrel-bent pipe that the shop custom-cut and bent while I watched. 'Took under 2 hours and it looks and sounds great (the start-up sounds vicious!). I weighed the stock 'trash cans' and they were 18 lbs. each, so that's over 30 lbs. shed by removing those big, ugly monsters.

They look and sound great! The guy did my 67 and I was impressed, so I made a trip down off highway 90 and waaalaaah.......my baby's nuts droped. |
