Exclamation Took Bumper Off..2 Blocks fell

So I took my bumper off to put splitter on. And as I pulled each side on the bumper, when it came off a little wooden block painted black fell off (one on each side) what is this? I don't know if I should put it somewhere. I did not see where it fell from.

Each block was around 4 inches by 3 inches.
edit: took some pics of inside but I doubt you could see much. Also the side of the bumper there was tape if you can see.

Wooden blocks? Are you sure they were wood? Post some pics when you can.

I've taken my bumper off about half a dozen times and have never had any blocks fall off.

Are you the original owner and do you have the original bumper? There shouldn't be any wooden blocks on your car. I have taken my bumper off of both my Camaros several times and have never had anything fall out.

Pictures would help. I think that a body shop may have took the "easy" way out when alligning a damaged bumper and used them

I have had my bumper off and there were no blocks, (wood, plastic, foam, or otherwise), that were anywhere. Someone has added these. Where were they?

You may be able to figure out where they came from by matching the shape of the area that didn't get painted to a similarly shaped area on the bumper.
