Just got the splash guards from RPI
I got the ZL1 instead of the stealth.
I plan on installing them this weekend. No instructions came with them. Looks simple though. Anyone got any tips though? Anything to look out for? Do the wheels need to come off? |

I have the zl1 GM ones-factory-they go under the fender liner and attach with the same screws I did it wheels on.

Looks like there is a two sided tape. What is that supposed to stick to?

I bought the stealths from them. Tip, avoid the frustration and remove the rear wheels . I know their site says you don't need to but those long screws for the rears make it a PIA to install w/o removing the wheels. Should take about 1/2 to install including removing the wheels.

Definately remove the rear wheels.
I installed the stealth kind. Love them so far.

I just received the Stealth splash guards for my 2014 RS and also did not receive any installation manual with the kit. While it does seem fairly easy to figure out you would think for $50 bucks for some plastic that it would at least include a manual. I was also a little disappointed in the fact that one side of the guards were all scratched up. I know they will get damaged with rocks hitting them but still for what they cost I would think they would have at least made them look clean. I am OCD so I am currently spraying them with plasti dip. Will post pics once they are installed.

When I got mine they were not scratched. Maybe it was how they were packed and shipped. I do like them and they look good.

I got those for my 1LE. I went over to Harbor Freight and bought a right-angle ratcheting screw driver type tool that takes the little driver bits. It's small, about the length of a spark plug. I used it to install the rear ones without pulling the tires. Cost me about $5 I think. Other than that it was a piece of cake. Just be careful getting in there, you don't want to scratch anything.
