A ride is good. A drive is better.

yeah... but he'll end up buying something extra if you let him have fun driving it
just look at him now - Chris let him drive & what kind of blower does he got?
i let him & Bonnie drive and look at what she's got
i can't remember whose car got him into his suspension

notice a pattern?

Ready to break down tomorrow.

Time is so scarce I swear it will take me forever to build this freaking thing.

Only three of the main cap bearings came up not blurry.

All 5 bearings came up on the block.

Few pics of what the typical wear seems to be on all of it.

I'm still not sure I found where the oil pressure was lost.

What say you guys?

Keep in mind, the engine had 95k miles on it.

Did you wipe those bearings off? Hard to tell if its debris from disassembly or something else.

Looks like some awful grooves in some of those. Feel anything with your fingernail?

I used to like coming in here when it was all just fun and games with an occasional broken finger. But now with this carnage it's all work and no play.

I agree those rod bearings don't look too good. Hard to tell now where oil press might have been lost.

Yes, I can feel them pretty good with my fingernail. Not super deep but certainly not smooth.

Those are the main caps. I did not take pics of the rod caps. Ran out of time to clean them.
