Just takes some practice, I think what gives most problems is the weight of the return spring.

I brought it into the dealer for the first oil change, and the tech gets in to drive it into the shop.... stalls.... looks around sheepishly.... starts it up.... stalls.... haha got it the third time though. It was a little funny at first, but the more time you put in the seat the better it'll get.

Try keeping your heel down on the floorboard and release the clutch with just the upper part of your foot.
Makes it a lot smoother when you keep your heel down. |

The engine idles like at 650 rpm's which seems low, so you need some gas pedal to get going. Gas pedal down, clutch up all one easy motion. I find this stick very easy to drive. Keep Practicing.

Yeah thanks everyone. Thats what my cousin has, a 350z and he thought it was hard to drive my car. I got a little better today. it only has 100 miles now. I found out releasing a little, then get rpm's to 1500 and then start letting out slow and it works pretty damn good. It still jerks a little bit sometimes off the take off.

I used to drive other friend's sticks, so when I got mine I thought I knew how to do it. turns out for the smoothest ride you really have to let off the clutch with your toes on the pedal and your heel on the floor the whole time, letting the pedal slide on your shoe a little, until you feel the clutch begin to grab then get the rpms ~1K letting out the rest.

I have been driving a clutch vehicle in one form or another for over about 20 years now and I am having a hard time getting use to it. My issue is after I get it going though. I can usually go through gears really smooth, but for some reason I can't with the new car.
Makes me feel like I am just learning how to drive a stick again.

My first standard car was my WRX which i found much more difficult to drive. The camaro seems easy compared to the WRX.
Both have 2nd to 3rd gear grinds and weak paint though :emoticon7: |

It's funny cause I read some poster on here a few days back saying that manual driving is not much different then the auto. He said with the syncrinizors all we're doing is sliding a lever. Hahahahahahaha, ok sure buddy.
I never stalled my auto trans in my truck but I have a few times in the ls3. Made me feel like a noob and I have been driving stick for 15 years. |

I came from a 350Z too but this clutch only took me a few days to get used to. It's heavier with a real small catch point but now after 2+ months I'm rowing like a pro. What I'm still not used to is the slower reving, makes rev matching more difficult, but that the difference between a high strung V6 and a pushrod V8...

Definitely more difficult then any stick I have drove. Picking it up now though when I listened to some of you on here. There is a point on this clutch where you have to hold it there a second and then start letting it out slow. Took me all yesterday messing around trying different things.
