LF3 rods showed up today! They weigh in at 620 grams with rod bolts. Unfortunately I don't have an lfx rod handy to compare them to yet, but they sure look pretty

Yeah, that's about what I paid for the set if I remember right. If you aren't going FI you don't need anything as tough as what I got, so you might be able to get some non-forged ones cheaper (assuming those were forged). Getting more sets made at once might also get the cost/set down.

Intake manifold and plenum cover on order! We'll know if it fits in a week or two when it shows up... Slowly piecing this together...

*EDIT* Well damn, I was just called and told that the intake manifold is on national back order and no date of availability at this time... Order cancelled. Wonder if I can find a dealer that can order and pull off the assy line for a service part?

*EDIT 4/23/14* Ordered the intercoolers, and coolant manifold(?) for the intercoolers today. Not on back order. Plenum cover, and intercooler insulators should be here within the next couple days. Still no luck with the intake manifold piece, I'm told the SCAD (? If I heard the guy right) case has been escalated, and should know something within 24 hrs??? No idea what that means... Still hoping one gets pulled off the assy line for me. I've got big plans!!!
