On the I15 Freeway 10 miles from Corona. I lost gambling (not much) and was driving home @ 9.00 pm going 102 when I saw blue and red light behind me. Pulled over and officer approach my car.
Officer: you are driving very fast
Me: not really
Officer: you are driving over 100
Me: not that much officer.....
Officer: tell you what.......slow down....drive safely and have a good night.....and walk away.
It was like hitting the Jackpot.

Whatever you lost gambling, you probably just won back by not getting that ticket.

My husband got a 130+ ticket, came out to some $1,100; and that was being told he got let off easy.

You are probably the only guy around here who will catch a break like that. I got one merging onto the 15 south in corona trying to get ahead of a truck...hit 90, got nailed for 85. 4 months later, got one for 83 in a 70 in Elsinore...keeping pace with everyone else. Congrats to you for your luck!!

I was going 140+ at 2am on 10 freeway after work when i noticed chp lights probably 1/4 mile behind me. I let off the gas and by the time he got behind me i was doing only 85...he let me off with 80mph ticket since i told him i just got off a 16hr shift (in which i did). Nice guy. This was a few weeks after i bought car in 2010

Was in a race with a Ferrari and a m6. 4 CHP behind us a few miles back with lights going. Needless to say. Got of the freeway in a hurry and booked it to the coast! Lol

Awesome, this is a thread about speeding tickets so when I read, "Was in a race with a Ferrari" I was sure to expect the worse. I bet 1 cop caught the m6! The other 3 went to check out the Ferrari! What kind of Ferrari was it that the SS could keep up with?

I'm not exactly stock so it was a fun little race. I'm pretty sure it was a 360 spider if I remember correctly. This was a while back.. After that, I think I learned my leason. For a while that is. Lol..

I was going 120 on I8 east. I saw lights coming up in the distance. I slowed down, but it still took him a while to catch up. The first thing he said was that he could take me to jail for excess of 100MPH. The ticket cost me $360 which was a lot for an E-4 back in '98.

yeah I'm pretty sure the OP would have gone to jail or gotten a nice ticket with those remarks. Don't lie to the cops, they will hit your pocket book or you. haha

Over a 100MPH can get you a ride in the Police Car if you tick the cop off...I have one over 100MPH ticket to my credit, CHP was pissed when he caught up to me and that was a costly endeavor even 20 years ago....it's fun and all, but take it to a race track, it's cheaper in the long run...

I once got pulled over and the cop told me that he didn't know the speed limit and gave me a ticket b/c I sounded like I was speeding. I fought it in court and he isn't a cop anymore lol
