Is it not true that over-filling your engine oil can cause lifter tick, due to foam forming inside the lifter?

Typically a Tick is a single port leak.

This meets your description almost to a tee.

I would pull the headers and check the gasket for black tracks leading out from the Port.

Ted.

Do you think if I loosened the clamps on the bottom I would be able to swing the headers out just enough? Or am I going to have to remove them again? Also, if I do see tracks what do I do? just apply sealant or get new gaskets?

Yes should be plenty of movement.

First you have to determine if, then why it has the tracks, gasket or flange problem.

If a flange problem you will have to remove the header for repair or replacement.

Ted.

Yeah I figured that but wasnt hoping for that haha...I'm not even sure if I do have a leak...visually everything on the head looks squeaky clean...If I didnt use a little RTV, is that going to make it leak? They were brand new gaskets and I'm 100% positive they were installed the correct way but I didnt use any RTV

RTV is not necessary. I have installed two sets of headers on my car with no problems, and have not used it. How loud is the tick? Is it louder on one side VS the other? I would make sure before you star taking the headers of as Ted says. Recheck the torque of your headers and the rest of the bolts.

I retorqued the bolts after a few hours drive...then again around 24-30 hours later..I havent since then....also the tick is the same on both sides and does NOT sound like air escaping (the psst psst sound I speak of). The second time I torqued them the engine was freshly hot and had just been on a cruise...it does NOT speed up or get louder with the engine...and is easily covered with rpm....I can only REALLY hear it with the windows down otherwise I have to really listen with the windows up....Honestly if I have to remove these from being faulty I'm just returning the car back to stock

I don't have the experience that Ted does when it comes to Camaros. I wont say that he is wrong, if anybody should know I would think he does, yet it just does not sound like an exhaust leak to me.

Can you post a video of the ticking?

We do hundreds of sets of headers, we carefully inspect each set for possible defects and or shipping damage.

The factory gaskets are best when used on a perfectly flat surface with no imperfections and will seal up 100%

In the event there is a small dent or low spot in the flange the gasket can not make up for it.

We don't use or recommend RTV.

The best time it can be heard is while driving consistently at lower speeds (25-40 mph) and I doubt you would be able to hear it with all the wind noise....it's super light as is...and it doesn't make it at idle...its definitely more chatter than ticking so to speak..just without the airy sound

Do you smell any exhaust thru your vents, especially at idle or low speeds?

I've used soapy water in a spray bottle on start up to check for header leaks when cold. They usually don't leak when using stock gaskets with a decent header, even the import brands are usually very flat. I put my Doug Thorley's on last night and re used my stock gaskets with no leaks.
