I just don't like the plain look of the passat. I didn't like the Jetta's either until I saw the GLI. Didn't even know they existed. The GLI is a bit more sporty.

Nice ride, enjoy! Watching the gas needle barely move must be very nice indeed!

Plus the savings will leave room for a motorcycle in a year and more money in my wallet.

I gotta tell ya... I had to hold my breath and walk out. I loved my Camaro and I never got so attached to a car before like I did with my 2SS. I'm going to miss that car. But I had fun and it was time to move on.
I know the feeling. Just traded my Challenger for a Turbo Beetle.....it was bitter-sweet.

Wow you young guys are getting mature and responsible buying sensible cars. Don’t worry us old guys will continue to press the envelope for 18 MPG. Best of luck to you all.

My wife said I made a grown up move?? Dude you only live once and there is such a thing as doing things that make "YOU" happy as well in the life you we're givin to live..

I do a lot of things to make/keep the wife happy and I love her to death but when it comes to having my toys she has to be willing to understand what makes/keeps me happy as well..

Enjoy the new ride nonetheless..

I have to be honest Jessika, I'm a little jealous of your TDI!

I might be back in a Challenger, Camaro, or the next Mustang in a year or two...Judging by the looks mine gets, and the way it drives, I'd say it Rocks

He didn't get forced by the wife. He made a sensible sound decision himself planning for near future for the two of them. Thumbs up.

Exactly! My wife does not force me to do anything. In fact it was my idea and my decision. she did think it was a good move when I asked the first time and her thought made me want to do it even more. Its called marriage.

Besides. I had fun in the Camaro and I felt it was time to move on. I have to concentrate on other things right now such as not spending so much on owning a car (gas/payments/maintenance altogether) and actually owning a car I can take it to big bear mountain to snowboard and be be able to carry things if I have to. A more practical car. If you know what I mean...
Don't worry, I already told her that in 6 years I will jump into something good again, when are more financially comfortable than we are now.

I just need a practical car more than a sports car. Just setting my priorities.

Also, I ended up with the Jetta because I wanted a smaller size car that has higher MPG and is durable. WV has a 3 year/36k miles free maintenance; so I will be saving money on all ends. Its a 27 average MPG car. My SS was getting 17 average
