This guy pretty much sounds like he knows what he's talking about

a $40k car is average by today standards. Most camaros with the exception of the ZL1 fall well below that. Get over yourself ...

I thing you see a lot of good advice here already. But basically you can do one of two things to help yourself. Either complete funk up the inside of your car with four feet and two years or McDonalds bags, with the onions still in there from where you picked them off and left them, so that the smell will drive away any potential thieves, or...

Seriously keep your car empty and clean. If they don't see anything to break in for it may help reduce you risk. And I kind of mean nothing, not clutter or shirts or anything that may look like it's hiding a camera or something underneath

That's a hell of a thing to say! Regardless of cost, some of these cars are irreplaceable. My above average (by your standards) $43k Camaro means a hell of lot to me.

These 5th gen Camaros are not "average" and who cares about "value".
I've had my SS for four years now and still get thumbs up/honks/nice car complements
almost every time I take it out for a spin.
Maybe you should get over yourself.

That's the problem , the thieves think that's a million $ car , and they just be right
They will take it , and when they find out the true value , those bastards don't bring the car back .
But again for the Northen KY people it's like pokey change , right ?

Anyway , going to the point of security , get a sticker from NRA and post it on the most e posed side of your car

Leave a empty 50calber shell on the driver seat , just in case the will be thieve do not know how to read .

Had some hood rats go through a few vehicles in my neighborhood the other night. I came out and found the sliding door on my work van wide open. They didn't take anything because they probably had no idea what any of it was (parts for fuel pumps and STP's).

They must have been rookies though, had they broken into the front there was all sorts of goodies (laptops, drills, radar detector and some cash).

Carry an air pump and let the air out of your tires every night....

Really? Wait, so you are subscribed to a car forum, took the time to answer this thread, AND have a 1LE 2SS (which are two seperate models...).

$40k is far from average for cars, and people are investing their time/money into their purchases. Not to mention much lesser cars are stolen on a daily basis across the country. Troll somewhere else, guy.

Make sure your insurance premiums are up to date and enjoy your vacation.

It's a Camaro, it's not a "1 out of 5" Lamborghini.

1LE is an option package on the SS it's not a separate model.
