Color for your second car?
At this point I'm about 95% sure I'll be getting an '18 1SS Gen6. I don't really see myself getting rid of my '84 MCSS though, too much history with it. So here's the dilemma, what color to chose. RH, HBM, and SW are the three that are in the running.
I'm having trouble deciding on whether I should pick the color based on the gen 6 alone or consider my other ride also. With white it will look the best at night, be easier to keep clean looking, and decently match my MCSS. HBM looks the best during the day and it will be DD car, won't match my other car but is a nice contrast and sometimes it seems dumb to have two white performance cars. RH, another good contrast and will be a more rare color as far as production #'s, will not see the price hike, and I like the RH black center stripe cars a lot. I'd like your perspective on what you would pick, and why?

Your cars don't need to "match". Especially since you only drive one at a time.

I'd wait to see what colors are going to be offered for 2018 before you settle on a decision. Who is to say that HBM will still be around? Or they won't go a different shade of red?

I voted Red Hot. If stripes are your thing like they are for me, you cant go wrong with some sweet rally stripes and black wheels to match the SEMA car. White and Blue are some of the more common colors this generation, apart from black.
but then again, bright red is a bit of a cliche, and hyper blue is a pretty nice looking color. not as aggressive as red hot, or as clean as white, but it definitely looks cool, and almost exotic. not very "muscle" to me, but that's just me.

I'm not going to vote, I don't think we should tell you what to do, it is your car.
But if you want to know my preferences of colors: HBM, NGM, SW (in that order) If you're doing stripes, HBM would look good with RH fender stripes, SW good with HBM side spears and as you said RH is good with GBA center stripe. I would skip RH as the primary color and consider it a secondary color for use on one of the other two colors. |

I just keep going around in a circle and can't stay with one I really like. Every month or so I have a new favorite that gets replaced by someones killer looking combo, or I am inspired by pictures from the pic section.
The order I've gone through; 1. RH with black rallys and black splits 2. HBM with pearl white rallys and silver 5 spokes 3. SI with red hash marks and silver splits 4. SW with red hash marks and silver 5 spokes 5. RH with black center stripe and grey splits 6. RH no stripes with grey splits 7. SW no stripes and silver splits 8. HBM with black spear and grey splits After seeing all the colors live in person the silver was out. SW looks good in pics but on the ground it doesn't have the pop and slight hue shifting of the HBM. RH in person to me is 3rd place but is light years ahead of the rest of the colors, plus it seems like 80% of America has a black, white, or grey for their DD car.

I love my RH, but the SW was originally my plan, they just did not have in the configuration that I wanted, so Red Hot it was. I really like them both, but since I went with Red, that is how I will vote.

I have my own personal bias and preferences, but for me it would depends on interior. I was torn between MB and HBM. One thing I knew for certain with the blue is that I wanted the white interior. With the black, I would have gone red interior. Red interior looks great with the SW, although i personally am not a white car person. With the RH, you almost have to go black interior. But as others have said only YOU can decide this one.
