Oh I'm going to continue running (at least for the forseeable future), just won't be posting in this thread as I'm not running to lose weight (but rather another goal) so this isn't the thread for me I guess you could say. See you in the spring, hopefully this winter doesn't last too much longer.

I'm not trying to lose weight either. Read my posts.
I'm just trying to get back in shape.

Well I'm running to get in some kind of shape for a marathon I signed up for. I guess I'm a little scared of "complaining" about what I do and how much it sucks when others are working really hard, but doing less? (in terms of miles/pace not as in terms of toughness of workout). Like for instance if I was to come in here and be like damn those 5 miles I did yesterday on the treadmill killed me, when someone would be happy just to have done 5 miles. I've had friends stop coming to the gym, because they got discouraged when they were walking next to me and I was running, and I don't think my mom likes walking next to me for the same reasons. I just don't want to discourage people in here who are working really hard and losing weight, with my petty complaints.

I disagree. That's what we are all here for. We all have different goals and benchmarks.
It is common for some to have higher goals than other, and higher bechmarks.
I'm sure Bonnie makes many people in here look like they aren't working hard enough.
But she has been doing it for a while now, and it is only obvious for her to be ahead of other physically, just like it is for you to be ahead of some if not all of us.
Just my opinion

All my workouts I log are what I have earned this last year!!! If you could have seen me workout when I first started it was not at all what I do now. And I'm still not where I want to be! But everyone has to start somewhere and everyone has different goals, I don't feel it should be discouraging to anyone, I just thought if anyone would want to steal my workouts using the weight that works for them it would be very helpful! lol And the more experienced people could give others great ideas!

I can understand where you are coming from because a runner's diet and training plan is SO different from what most people's goals are on here. I ran one half marathon (in Iraq) and two full marathons last year (Oklahoma City and Air Force)...and have the missing toe nails to prove it!! I hope you stick around this thread...I might be able to offer you some good running tips and vice versa. I will be out of the country so I won't be doing any marathons this year until the fall...I am hoping my deployed location will be doing an AF Marathon in September, and I will find one somewhere nearby that I can run in November when I get back....probably San Antonio Rock N Roll Marathon. Either way, I will start training June time frame probably, so I could use a "running buddy."

Friday (1-21-11) check in ....

Down -3 lbs scene 1-7-11 to 151lbs

Down -7 lbs Total scene 12-29-10 from 158lbs

Goal - 128lbs

I didn't check in last friday because I was slackin' last week ( Beer and buffalo chicken dip = loss of motivation:(). Back on track as of tuesday. Just bought my first motorcycle a week ago, and now I'm motivated so I'm not weighing down the Ninja 250!

Losing 30lbs might not do much for a 3,800lb camaro, but should for a 333lb bike!
