My dealer is having an event today. THey called yesterday to tell me that they have a SIM LT as the showroom car(that they will sell at 6:00 tonight) and a IOM 1SS for the first customer, the second customer car is in transport and I'm 3rd on the list.
GET THIS - yesterday they tell me that my event code is still at 3300, but they have good news....the TPW is 4/23. I hope this means it was made last week but GM can't figure out how to update the codes quick enough.

Thats somewhat true that these events are not organized by GM, but I was told by my dealer a month ago that quote "Every dealer would be getting a demo car by may 6th and there would be an unveiling event that day as well, I just was told this this morning". So it is pretty hard to have an unveiling with out the car. We have the largest dealership in the area, so I am very suprised that we dont even have a car. There is also a buddy of mine that is the first to get one (was in the first 800 cars built) and its been sitting in Canada waiting to be picked up for over a month. They keep saying they are waiting to inspect it. Hope mine will not take as long. But I am being as patient as possible.

My dealer has postponed his...no car! However, Hendrick in Cary, NC is having a big todo. Insider told this:
"Hey Dave!
It’s from 6 to 9; yes I will be there, working the door with Katie. They will be parading different models of the Camaro through the years, unveil the Richmond Pace car & a couple of specialty Camaros, door prizes and champagne (I think). They will have tons of Camaro stuff available, the Parts Dept. is setting up a display in the service drive (although they sold out real quick of a bunch of things during the ZR1 unveiling, you might want to hit the gift shop a little early to have the best selection). We expect 1000+ tonight, so I’d get here early for parking too. I look forward to seeing you both!

I just confirmed that Days Chevy in Acworth, GA in still on for tonight. They are claiming that even though this is sanctioned by GM, it was "strongly recommended by the regional rep" that they participate!

My dealer - Marlow Heights Chevy in Marlow Heights, MD has a Victory Red V6 w/ RS Package sitting on the showroom floor right now. Exactly like the one in the picture above.

My dealer doesn't have a car yet. Called a couple other dealers in the area and none for them either. My dealer doesn't know when/if they'll have an unveiling now since they didn't get a car by the 5th (like they "say" they were promised by GM).

Kinda hard to have an unveiling without a car. Seems like all the air went out of that balloon in my area.

It's a shame because it would have been nice to have a coehsive unveiling. At least at the regional/local levels.

We are doing two this evening in Central Flordia. Classic Camaro of Central Florda will have cars at both dealerships this evening to participate we were asked if we could provide the dealerships with some nice Camaros
