Just behind the rear window, attached to the canvas top 2 inches down from where the top and the car should meet, there is an elastic strip sewn to the top that runs parallel to the car. Unfortunately, my top is not flush to the side of the car so I can reach down into the "hole" between the side of the car and the top and feel the elastic loop.

Does anyone know if that is supposed to somehow be attached to the inside of the car to keep that part of the top tight to the side of the car?
