I'd like to track my ZL1 during delivery. My dealer says that he can enroll but OnStar won't be activated unless the blue button in the car is pressed, and the enrollment will expire if it's not pressed. Some people here have successfully used OnStar for tracking their cars. What is it that my dealer doesn't know?

Not sure if its says so in the above link, however you need to contact the car at least once a day as the new onstar computer goes inactive if the vehicle is not started in like 24 hours. Once it came back on I locked and unlocked the doors about every 8 hours and was able to track it all the way here.

I goes to sleep after 10 days of the car sitting inactive.... then requires a restart and to move at least 10 feet... using the app has no effect on it going into sleep mode....

Thanks for the tip, didn't see that in the other thread (though I'm not all the way through it yet). The other thread did talk about starting the car to keep it active (and scaring bystanders), but mines a manual so that wouldn't have worked. I'll definitely hits the locks.
