Not nothing. I had first dibs on whatever random 2010 Camaro the dealer was given (even though it was suppose to sit there a month for attraction purposes) and it was a RY 2LT, got it 3 days after delivery!

I gave a credit card number for a $500 "confirm" they did not actually take the money. However, I also ordered $5000 worth of aftermarket mods that were handled through the dealer, so I would not have expected any less.
Normally, nothing down - just my word (as others have said) suffices. SSN8R |

I didn't sign a thing or give a deposit. In fact I never even visited the dealership. Eric Hall at Grapevine Chevrolet took my order over the phone, kept me up to date the entire build process, brought the car and the paper work to me. Gave him my deposit and signed the paper work in the parking lot at work.

$500 down 6-11-09 changed my mind during those few months of waiting for it to be built. ( IBM to ABM good choice love the color) V6 or V8 hmmmm I picked the V6 she is my daily driver. But Now knowing the color was discontinued I wished I got the V8 manual dang it.. I do want to keep my current camaro no matter what especially since Scott Settlemierer signed it ..
Oh well Z28 is coming out eventually who knows I am on the to be notified list when it does go in to production. My car is now 15 months and has 20,653 miles and I still enjoy eveyrtime I get in and take a ride. So far the only issue I have is the heater blower makes a squeeky noise when it's turned on low so as of today my dealer ordered the part and will calle me when it comes in best part of it it's still under warrenty.

Just a handshake and verbal agreement to pay $500 below whatever the current incentives were at time of delivery. After ordering I found out about getting provider pricing through my credit union (registered and printed out the certificate), and received the Pontiac owner loyalty discount ($1000) coupon in the mail 3 weeks before the car arrived.
So... bottom line is if you order and negotiate a price in advance, always add the clause, "plus whatever incentives are available at time of delivery" to the agreement.

Just told them what I wanted and they ordered it. No down payment or didn't sign anything. We did all the paperwork and money down when the car arrived.
