Putting 305/35ZR20 on the rear of an 1LE.

Would putting 305/35ZR20 tires on the rear of an 1LE improve the times at the drag strip? Would it make no difference? Or would it actually just slow the car down? Keep in mind that I do realize this is a track car and was not meant to perform at the drag strip.

To answer the same question you already posted in a thread:

NOW, all of the above are really negligible....

I'd say do it!!! Slightly better traction since it's 9/10'' wider. They are a 1/2'' taller which helps fill the wheel well and also puts a slightly larger patch on the ground, again, traction. They look great on the car which out weighs the weight all day long in my opinion. Good luck!!

I agree that they would look way better . I just have to make sure they don't actually make the car slower lol.

I can't justify investing in new rear tires without knowing if they would or would not increase my performance on the 1/4 mile.

If all your going for is a better 1/4 time just get drag radials that would be the smart decision. But those tires would look good, and I like to see a pic.

I want the look that the 305/35ZR20 tires give but I also want to know if it would give me faster 1/4 mile times.
