toilet tank studs

I got mine at the local Ace Hardware. I am sure that Lowes & Home Depot also carry them. They are brass and intended to hold a toilet water tank to the bowl base. They have flat rectangular heads that help to hold them in place.

Hope this helps.

[QUOTE=chozn4service;7917410]Great! So doing this, I should be able to find the same type studs for replacing. Where did you pick yours up from? Locally I have Home Depot and Lowes close by. Having not seen the original studs I assume there is some sort of head to hold them in place

OK picked my studs up yesterday at Lowes. From what was said the originals will slide out with a screwdriver and the two up front need to be 2" and re center studs cu to 1 3/4". I assume the rear studs will work fine.

I really want to do this, but I would need the tray to fit my supercharger. After looking at the installation instructions from SLP it doesn't seem as stable as this. One of you intelligent guys need to come up with a tray that will fit this and a supercharger haha.

Here is the link to SLP installation and it looks like it will only be good for a 2014 with the stock setup.

I really love this mod! I wanted something to get the heat out since I've added headers to the car. As I stated before, I had HEX Vents on my previous car and for what they do to extract heat and to relieve that pressure along the front bumper to keep the car stable at speed is really a must.
This mod does just that. I literally see the heat pouring out from the vent. Cool air coming in through the grill and hot air being pushed out. The rain tray in place as not to get the motor wet, funneling the water out by the radiator. Yes, this is the mod to do and it still looks OEM.
I may get the mail slot delete next as I had it on the previous car and like it as well.

According to this picture it doesn't seem like it would bother the supercharger. It looks like it would fit with no problem. I might have to just check and see.

The only slight problem is that the front 2 screws sit on my Vararam. I have to cut the screws down for a better fit.Name: 20140910_123535.jpg
