on my cobalt SS when I no lift shifted into second it would usually grind sometimes it would just grind and not go into gear at all , I figure the synchronizer for second was weak , thats one of the reasons I started getting automatics ,there's less to worry about transmission wise , both self induced and defects |

I remember when GM produced the turbo charged Cobalt SS, they also used a no lift shift algorithm. Pretty much when you hit the clutch pedal the computer drops the rev limit dropping rpms to around where it needs to be for the shift.

The reason Chevrolet didn't change the front fascia on the 2014 ZL1 is because the front of the car is fully functional and creates a 140LBS of down force, so changing the design would also change the performance.

I thought the same thing until I gave it a go...now it's a daily habit.

I do this all the time every day. Just floor the gas and don't lift my foot off it. I don't even have to press the clutch. Yes, having an automatic does help with no lift shift.

YES, but you wont gain anything by it. The no lift shift is designed on boosted applications to keep boost in between shifts. 1LEs are N/A so if you want to, go for it, you just might be buying clutches more.

That's because your trans is a POS. I had 2nd gear and few other things replaced under warranty for something similar. It's shifts smooth now.
