Can we talk about 4th Gen for a moment?

Is it just me, or do 4th Gen Camaros look like Koi fish?

Yet at the same time, Firebirds look good, and Trans Ams look bad ass.

It goes to show how "sister cars" can look very different.

you have to remember the 4th gen started in 1993! Not many cars look that good in early 90's.

That's why I bought a Mustang over one. Those 4th gen Camaros packed serious power at the time, but I couldn't get over the look.

Good point, but I've always had mixed feelings about the wind tunnel designs that the Chevy Lumina (IIRC) ushered in. I liked the flat surfaces and sharp edges of 1980's sports cars, like the 3rd Gen Camaro, the MR2, Ferrari 308, or BMW M1. Then, suddenly, everything got round and squishy looking. Impressive vechiles like the Mistubishi 3000GT then, and still, look "fat" to me.

But you are correct, when thinking about applying that (at the time) modern style to the 3rd Gen Camaro, it came out looking as good as it was going to look, and better than may other cars at the time.

I preferred the look of the 4th gen Trans Am the most, and I still have my 96 TA! I liked the 93-97 Camaro front end better than the 98-02 front end. The face lifted front end is probably what your referring to as looking like a Koi. I think the 5th gen Camaro looked good enough that they didn't really need a sister car anymore and then Pontiac was killed off so it became a moot point. I love my 4th gen, it feels more like a sports car, lower and sleeker than the 5th gen.

I think they look amazing! i love my 5th gen ss and everything but it sits outside, my Z28 gets the nice dry and warm spot in the garage.
