I can't see the picture of the throw-out bearing, but I'm guessing you need to throw it out...

I am having issues getting the Tranny fully stabbed. It seems like it stops about 1/2" from the back of the motor and I have tried pulling it the rest of the way with Bolts with no avail. I called HPT and asked them if yours used the FACTORY Slave Cylinder with the upgraded throwout bearing (thinking that the shorter ZR1 Slave cylinder would give me the extra movement to get it stabbed all of the way), but yours has the FACTORY slave as well, so I will keep trying to get her in there (Arms feel like Jello right now so I am taking a break !!)

Updated progress to come later !!

I finally got it in!! The problem was that with the LPE ZR1 Clutch, there was a spacer behind the slave cylinder that I didn't see to remove when I put the OEM Slave in it. Once i removed it, everything went together great. Now to put about 500 break in miles on it..

The pedal feels a WHOLE LOT BETTER (softer) than with the ZR1 clutch, now I have to get used to the feel of the clutch. It seems that it catches farther up than the ZR1 did.

Right now I am happy. Time will only tell if this fixes the issue with the throwout bearings !!!!!!

Dohhh....

I wish I had remembered to ask you about that... With my different bellhousing and the inner scatter shield, I had to add that spacer in, and remembered that the ZL1 clutch used more or less the same spacer...

As for the clutch feel... It is quite soft... almost stock feeling and you are the 4th or 5th person to comment on how high up it engages... Mine does it... which gives me a good feeling that I know it's fully disengaged when shifting...

Whats with the five hundred miles... Drive it like you stole it... It sat in a 2000 degree oven for 6 months, you aint going to do anything with heat cycles... lol... I kid... RTFD...

I'm saying a little prayer about the throw-up bearing for you, but I'm betting that problem is gone...
