Can't open the convertible roof , need help - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hi, I am new in this forum, i have a issue to open the roof and i have no idea how to start troubleshoot this, the top was working good for a year but last time i try to open but nothing and no sound from the motor and the windows do not come down and show a message " Clear top storage area " but the trunk was clear and partition is in the fastened position so should be good but nothing only when i press the bottom to close the top the motor start working and the windows go down, someone can help me with this i don't know where is the sensor or limit switch to check it or what i need to do, thank you guys for your help.

The trunk cover is pulled out and locked? Cu I have had problems with that before.. Other than that you may want to check the water bag.. Something is blocking it.. It's noting to do with the motor

I think the sensor for the pull-out thingy is on the left side where it goes into that slot.....check the connection

Just posting bc I ran into this issue.

For anyone else having this problem, you can stick a strong magnet in the driver side clip/holder for the partition and the top will open.
