Lightly modded lfx vs stock charger r/t
So this had me thinking this kid in my school has a 2013 charger R/T and says it will beat my Camaro. He knows nothing about cars. I asked him what makes a hemi a hemi he said "more horsepower" haha. Keep in mind this is a kid that once said corvettes aren't made by Chevy. But anyway back to the comparison my LFX has a K&N cai, vitesse throttle controller, vmaxx ported throttle body, and soon to be npp exhaust system. Seeing that his car is stock and makes around 370hp and weighs around 700lbs more than mine I think I might have a chance from a dig although he might pass at top end. What are your thoughts am I crazy?

Well, there are some factors. Does he have the Road and Track package? If not then he's got..2.73 gears or something like that. Less than ideal. The Charger is heavier, but it is also cranking out over 100 more tq and is still making more HP. Yeah you could win it, but it's going to be close. On a drag strip I'd expect you to be within a tenth or two of each other. |

Drag strip, I'd say he has the win. If his car is AWD, he will get you even in stock form.
Depending on options, he's got about 500 LBS on you. 700 LBS is a bit of a stretch as most are seen around the 4,200LB range. He's got the TQ and HP still, despite being heavier. Most are running lower 14's stock. Take him to the track and see what happens.

I raced 2012 Challenger R/T with headers, exhaust, and tune. I have a cold air intake only. I caught the better light, so if we were really racing, I'd have a holeshot win.

He has the advantage, and if you both get equal traction he will win as the extra power will still pull the extra weight down the road a bit faster.
That said, you shouldn't be far behind, and if you can manage to get a better start than him, you could pull off a win. Your mods aren't really adding much power, but that throttle controller may help you get off quicker so best of luck and let us know how it goes if you drag him.

i think you got it. I raced a 2015 rt challenger from a 20 roll and at 100 mph he had a car length on me. So he barely walked me. We were dead even until we got to like 70. this took place in mexico, stay safe lol. I have a cai, exhaust, catch can, and 93 octane
