Because their really isn't anything wrong. It's just for looks mainly. They're not broken or not performing properly... warranty work is a failure and then replaced for free. Usually.

Warranty work, when pertaining to vehicles, doesn't have to only apply to stuff being wrong with said vehicle. Most of the time that's how it is but there are issues like this that arise occasionally. That's why this issue isn't categorized as a recall. It's still a warranty concern though, because GM has indeed acknowledged it and provided a solution, while specifically stating they will cover the cost.

Went to the dealership near my work when I got off this afternoon, told the manager about the front wheel gap noticeably higher than the rear, he found my production date (12 Mar 17), I gave him the TSB number, he brought it up on the computer and ordered the springs (wil be in next Tuesday) to be replaced under warranty.

Quick & easy!

Just want to add that he had never heard of the TSB, anyone complaining about "excessive gap", and I didn't buy the car from that dealership.

I walked in to a local dealer to drop off the bulletins and he was like oh we don't deal with the forums. The guy didn't even take the time to look it up. Called up another dealer that's about an hour away and they found bulletin right away when I gave him the number. But can't order until they look at car... another dealer I called couldn't find TSB and said according to my VIN there's nothing they can do... what a mess

Went through something to that yesterday, though not as bad. I called my preferred dealer and they weren't able to look up the swaybar or the spring/trim issue no matter which number I gave them. When he gave up he said even if he could find it he couldn't just order the springs without having evaluated the car. That it just didn't work like that. So I took them the car and the printouts. They found what they needed. Fixed the swaybar and ordered the springs which will arrive in 3-5 days. I suppose that's a win.

Just got home from getting my springs replaced, looks like its about a half inch lower now. I'm sure it will settle down even more with time. I'm happy!!
