Borla Axle back s type exhaust

kinda new to exhaust but just had a borla s type axle back system installed on my SS and sounds great! but was wondering if the sound would improve once driven more...currently driven about 80 miles after installation

I doubt the tone will change all that much from what your hearing now.

I am currently waiting on my Vararam intake to show up then will have the ARH headers, non-catted x-pipe going into the same Borla S-type exhaust..

Should sound sweet!!!

improve? if you're looking for more either change to something more aggressive or my suggestion would be ARH or KOOKs with cats. they'll bolt right up to your Borla and be more aggressive under power and at idle..

I put 1200 miles on mine after the Borla "S" was installed.

No change in sound. It does sound great IMHO.

I have the Borla S type and agree that it isn't loud enough. I ran the engine with the entire cat back section off and it wasn't as loud as my old beater after we cut the cats off. I wonder about going to one cat on each side instead of the two that it has from the factory. That may make it a little louder and still keep you out of trouble with Johnny Law. Maybe a high flow cat, put on O2 sensor before the cat and one after it.

Louder is definitely better!

I have this on my car and love it! It does get a little louder over time as you drive the car.

I installed the SLP II with less than 1k on the car (L99). Now at 5K, I think it is a little louder and it's just right for me.
