4000-4104: 5/06--5-08 Lets track 'em - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I've seen lots of 4000-4104 show up the last couple days. If we can watch when all are getting updates/deliveries, it might help to learn where yours is. Seems some don't show on the rail report nor on the squirrel link.
See Sig. Hope to get folks involved.

I definitely understand. It would be nice to know the whereabouts of our respective Camaros while we wait; my event codes/dates are almost identical to yours. I have learned patience during this process.

I am at 3800 as of 5/7. I see alot of people who have event codes all the way to shipped on the same day. I am not getting factory stripes so I don't know why I went to 3800 no farther. However I anticipate delivery around 5/21 also.

I have a question GM (can't get dealer on the phone) said my cay was built on the 5th, does that mean I went to 3800 on the 5th? they also said I was now in QC what code would that be? still 3800?

Aint gonna be many deliveries except for cars that GM has already fixed the battery cable issue with. I doubt that GM wants the liablity (nor the shipping companies) of shipping something that GM knows has the potential to be a fire hazard. All it would take is one fire inside a railroad shipping car to give too much bad press and destroy too many other cars. And if it were to happen in a railroad tunnel under the Detroit River it could be catastrophic. It would be like a big blast furnace like that tunnel fire in Europe was. Deliveries are going to be slowed big time, and for good reason. Lets just hope GM can make these fixes quick and get cars shipping again.

Your in 4104 Bailment waiting to ship-AFTER QC. No code for QC. You wont change until on the rail

On 5-6 my code went to 3800. Now today on the rail shipping chart it shows shipped and in the toronto yard. I am waiting to see what my code is now from someone.

I went from 3800 to 4104 on the 5th. Got another email today that 'she was shipped on the 7th' but didn't offer another workbench order #update. And I hate being that guy that hounds my dealer, even if it is only once a week that I check in w/ them if that. Also didn't get an expected delivery date either.

Update this am: Dealer received invoice from GM and it's expected to be delivered 5/17 or 5/18 though the sales manager thinks "any day now." Like others have mentioned in another thread the window sticker includes the note "Order to delivery expedite to customer."

(I gave up and got a GT500) 5/11/09 - order cancelled 5/27/09 - vehicle arrived at dealership for whoever bought it after me
