Black Chrome
I was wondering that if the Stock RS rims' colors didnt look good with my scheme I was going to paint them black chrome. Do any of you know where I can get black chrome paint???

i think Dupli-Color has Black chrome. available at most auto parts stors that have their products.
In all honesty though I think black Chrome wheels look like Chrome wheels with brake dust caked on it...in other words, dirty wheels.

I think (or hope) he was talking about a professional place that will do the wheels in blck Chrome.the thought of using a rattle can on the wheels makes me want to vomit.

yeah, dont do it yourself, i dont think it would turn out too good. I think it would look like black spray painted wheels, not black chrome wheels.

now normally i wouldnt agree on this. but in your case i will. I dont think the RS wheels will go good with your paint scheme. and normally i HATE black wheels but i just dont see anything else looking good on your car.

I think you would be happier if you took the tires off the rims and got the rims powdercoated Black. It is more durable and looks just as good as paint.

Yep, I'm debating between having the rims powder coated black or buying new ones - not sure which would cost more, since I've never had rims powdercoated before.

Found a website online, powderperfect.com, that does powder coating - According to them, a set of four rims costs between 250 and 350 to have powder coated.

Indeed - it involves baking a coating onto a metal surface. But, its for that very reason that it sticks for longer.

He actually does. He's got a body shop across from his Mech shop.

Well cool. I wish I knew some people who could paint my crap for me. I do, however, know a few extra hands to help me install stuff, but nobody who paints and what not. My sister and her husband once thought about opening a body shop, but they never did. Settled down a bit, you could say.

im just not a fan of black wheels... they just remind me of spare tires.. the only reason i let them go with beast is because first and foremost i HATE when colors clash.. i actually think im a tad OCD about it.
but i will say.. that they would look better, if the lip was chrome or bright silver.... just my opinion though.
